McCormick partners with 11 of the UK's top chefs in celebration of Cholula Hot Sauce
To celebrate the addition of Cholula Hot Sauce to its unparalleled portfolio, McCormick has created a unique recipe book, bringing together 11 of the UK's top chefs to showcase the exceptional flavour of the No. 1 Mexican Hot Sauce brand.*
Entitled Fusión Mexicana, the selection unites some of the UK's most exciting chefs, including Nathan Outlaw and Lisa Goodwin-Allen, as each takes Cholula – an authentic Mexican hot sauce made with a blend of árbol and piquín peppers – and blends it seamlessly with their own signature cooking style, using it to elevate and put their own unique stamp on dishes.
Crafted in Mexico and based on a 100-year-old family recipe, Cholula's balanced and approachable flavour, and signature wooden cap have made it a beloved staple. Achieving a perfectly balanced blend of heat and tang, the iconic, generations' old recipe brings authentic Mexican craftsmanship and tradition to professional kitchens and tabletops across the globe.
Twelve inspiring Cholula-spiked recipes including both food and drink have been included in Fusión Mexicana, with each listed with all the nutritional information now required by recent government guidelines to make these dishes an instant hit on menus. Nathan Outlaw's Spicy Cholula Braised Squid Curry
One of the UK's most celebrated chefs, Nathan Outlaw, earned his first Michelin star for the Black Pig, aged just 25. He went on to open Restaurant Nathan Outlaw in 2006 – the UK's number one restaurant in 2018. It's the sea that has influenced Nathan's recipe, mixing Asian flavours with a Cholula-spiked sauce.
Lisa Goodwin-Allen's Cholula Marrowbone Crusted Beef in Bourguignon Sauce
One of the most innovative and exciting chefs working in the UK today, Lisa has led the kitchen brigade at Northcote since the age of 23 and is a regular face on Britain's tv screens. Lisa keeps her recipe simple, producing what she characterises as a ‘banging steak and chips', using Cholula to create a delicious and decadent marrowbone crust.
DJ BBQ's Veggie Tostadas
AKA Christian Stevenson, DJ BBQ is a trailblazing barbecue cook with a tribe of loyal fans. Published author, pitmaster and passionate pioneer of ‘Catertainment', Christian's Tostadas have a veggie twist, with Cholula and a whole lot of spices bringing the heat.
