Matthew Clark adds Willi Opitz to its portfolio

Drinks supplier Matthew Clark has added to its Wines of Distinction portfolio with a range from Austrian producer Willi Opitz, with UK exclusivity for both on and off-trade.

Based in Illmitz in Austria's Burgenland, Willi Opitz produces more than 30 wines of several varieties, including the flagship Opitz One, the Goldackerl Beerenauslese and Goldackerl Trockenbeerenauslese.

Siobhan Irons, wine buyer for Matthew Clark, said: We are very excited to be working with Willi Opitz. He places every ounce of his personality into making his wines and I know most of the trade will be thrilled to have access to his wines in the UK once more."
