Lincoln & York installs UK's largest roaster
Coffee roasting company Lincoln & York has installed the UK's largest coffee roaster at its North Lincolnshire headquarters.
The 600 kg Brambati drum roaster has been put into operation this month - a large piece of equipment unique to the UK.
James Sweeting, managing director of Lincoln & York, said: "This new roaster will allow us to fulfil high volume orders for our largest national and international customers."
The company, who celebrated their 20th birthday in April this year, have also recently opened their own contingency coffee roaster, a stand-alone, fully equipped building on the main factory site and the addition of the new roaster has almost doubled capacity.
Sweeting added: "Our customer base has massively diversified over the last five years and our new roaster and contingency roastery are just two of the ways we are responding to this and preparing for future growth."
