KitchenAid ice-cream mixer from Apuro

A new ice-cream attachment for the Apuro 325W KitchenAid mixer will produce up to 20 servings of soft-consistency ice-cream in one go. The kit comprises a 1.9-litre freeze bowl, a drive assembly and a paddle. The bowl is stored in the freezer for 12 hours before use, so the liquid within the double walls thoroughly and evenly freezes the ice-cream.

The constant churning during mixing adds in air and keeps the sizes of the crystals small to provide a smooth and light ice-cream. Inclusions such as fruit, chocolate chips, nuts and liquors can be added at any stage during the mixing, and a firmer consistency can be attained by storing the fresh ice-cream in the freezer for a couple of hours.

The attachment costs £69 (excluding VAT) and comes with a one-year parts and labour warranty.
