The Ital vegetable cutter from Apuro can churn out a steady stream of chopped vegetables at very high speed. Able to cope with a variety of ingredients - from potatoes and peppers to strawberries and mozzarella cheese - the easy-to-operate TM1 uses a 0.7hp heavy-duty ventilated motor to generate a disc revolution of 300rpm that can chop as much as 220kg of root vegetables per hour.
The robust, stainless-steel unit comes with four blades (two slicing knives, a chipping plate and a grating knife), a storage basket, a removable lid, and three safety microswitches to protect against overloading and overheating. The cutter is sold with a one-year warranty for £999 exluding VAT.
