Iain Munro takes the helm at Hobart Cooking Solutions

Iain Munro has been announced as the new director at Hobart Cooking Solutions, having resigned his position as managing director of distributor ScoMac Catering Equipment.

Munro, former Catering Equipment Distributors Association (CEDA) chairman, will head up the Hobart Cooking Solutions division from July and be responsible for developing the success of the company's portfolio of brands including Bonnet, Hobart and ELRO, as well as strengthening its already clear commitment to the distribution channels.

Speaking about the move, Munro said: "I have been presented with an exciting new career opportunity and feel that I will be joining a business at a good stage in its development of its distributor network, to which I believe I can bring my experience to grow and develop this even further. Hobart Cooking Solutions has some great products within well established brands which have a place across a wide cross section of the catering equipment supply marketplace."

"I am looking forward to working with my new team to address the challenges ahead. My initial focus will be on maintaining the growth of the cooking business and building on Hobart's unrivalled reputation among caterers for technological development, product innovation and equipment quality. I am very much looking forward to joining Hobart Cooking Solutions."

"Plus his knowledge of the UK's distributor network, having been with ScoMac for 18 years and a past chairman of CEDA, gives a clear signal to the industry of Hobart's continued commitment that our route to market will be via our distributor partners.
