HACCP-certified coffee maker from Melitta

Like Melitta's other Cafina coffee machines, the new Cafina Alpha has been HACCP-tested and certified for its automatic milk cleaning and hygiene programmes.

The matte silver machine, which stands just 580mm high, has a touch-screen control panel offering a menu of 15 speciality coffees, each in three sizes.

It is fitted with either a 9-litre refrigerated milk container or 2 x 4-litre modules that can each hold different types of milk. The milk is only drawn, heated and foamed as required, to ensure freshness.

Hourly outputs include 200 coffees or cappuccinos, 250 espressos and 40 litres of hot water.

Options include a remote refrigerated milk cooler, a second grinder, and a cupwarmer. Price is about £8,500.
