GB World Class Bartender of the Year open for entries
Diageo Reserve's GB World Class Bartender of the Year competition has launched its ninth consecutive year with a nationwide roadshow.
The 2017 competition is now open for entries, which will close on 15 February 2017, when the judges will review entries and begin the in-bar judging phase. The winner will represent Britain at the global final in Mexico next year.
Bartenders are invited to reserve a seat at one of the scheduled sessions, which aim to prepare them for the competition.
The sessions, each with 50 spaces, will be hosted by the Diageo Reserve Brand Ambassador team and host training sessions focusing on The Art of Blending, Remarkable by Design and the company's 2016 future trends report.
Dan Dove, head of Diageo Reserve World Class, commented: "Bartenders are at the heart of Diageo Reserve World Class, so taking the time to educate and support them ahead of the competition is crucial. This year's Diageo Reserve Future Trends Report will be central to our training sessions, learning and predicting the evolving ways in which consumers are interacting with cocktails and drinking experiences."
