Former Bidvest 3663 managing director Alex Fisher joins Bibendum board

Former Bidvest 3663 managing director, Alex Fisher, has joined the board of Bibendum Wine Holdings (the parent company of Bibendum Wine) as a non-executive director.

Fisher, who worked for Booker Foodservice and Bidvest for 23 years before his departure earlier this year, oversaw a period of sustained growth and improvements in his seven years in charge of 3663 Wholesale.

His achievements included a European Quality Award, a place for 3663 in the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For list and the successful supply of goods to the organisers of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Stephen Moss, chairman of Bibendum Wine Holdings, said: "I am delighted that Alex has agreed to join the board. His considerable expertise and experience in running such a successful distribution business will be invaluable in helping Bibendum drive value throughout its supply chain."

Alex Fisher commented: "I have known and respected Bibendum as a business for many years and was able to get to know managing director Michael Saunders very well through ViVAS, the company's joint venture with 3663. I am very excited to be joining the non-executive team and working hard to ensure even greater success for Bibendum in the future."
