ICG competition donates £200 to Ukrainian family

The Inspiring Culinary Generations (ICG) Competition, formerly known as the Teflon Diamond Standard Awards (supported by Teflon non-stick coatings) has swapped its usual gift for judges for a donation to a Ukrainian family in need.

The competition has two categories, Aspiring Student Chefs and Keen Home Cooks, where non-professional cooks are able to gain recognition for their cooking ability with guidance from industry chefs.

The 2022 KHC final took place at the Studio, Castle Bytham on 31 March. This year, in place of the annual judges' gift of Champagne, it was decided to give £200 towards supporting a Ukrainian family, who are now residing in Castle Bytham, Lincolnshire.

The family are extremely grateful for the support and have been settling in well. Julie Dupree, from Dupree International, which organises the ICG competition, visited earlier this month to present the £200 donation.
