Electric pasta maker up for grabs from Mars

Italian is now the world's favourite cuisine, according to a survey of 2,500 international travellers by Hotels.com in January.

To help caterers without any expertise in ethnic cuisine cash in on the trend, Mars Foodservice is giving away an Imperia Pasta Presto electric pasta-maker worth approximately £200, along with two jars of its new Dolmio line of ready-to-use Italian sauces.

The recipient can choose from any of the four new lines of Italian sauces: Arrabbiata, Bolognese, Creamy Tomato & Pesto, and Tomato & Basil.

All of the sauces can be used straight from the 2.2kg or 2.5kg jar, either hot or cold, as cooking sauces, marinades, dips, sandwich fillings or jacket potato toppings. Containing no artificial colours, flavourings or preservatives, they cater for the 42% of consumers who are willing to pay extra for additive-free foods.

The sauces are also free of gluten, GM ingredients, nuts and peanuts and comply with Food Standards Agency salt guidelines for 2012.

They are part of a new 19-strong, round-the-world line-up of cooking sauces that also embraces 15 recipes under the Uncle Ben's brand, including Madras, Chilli Con Carne, Texan BBQ and Chinese Stir Fry.

To be in the running for this prize, e-mail your name and contact details to mars@proactivecompetitions.co.uk, stating your choice of sauce.
