Diamond Standards Awards 2017 launches

Teflon non-stick coatings have announced the launch of its 2017 Diamond Standards Awards for amateur chefs of all ages.

The challenge is open to amateur cooks in the following categories: keen young cooks 13-16 years, aspiring student chefs 16-19 years and keen home cooks 17 years and over.

To enter, competitors should submit an online recipe and a few personal words with prizes including the chance to compete for a place in the national final at the Waitrose Cookery School in London chaired by TV celebrity chef Lesley Waters.

All finalists will receive a collection of cookware with Teflon non-stick coating and winning options for Royal Academy of Culinary Arts specialised chefs' scholarship, cash prizes, and a bespoke cookery day with overnight accommodation.
