DBC adds fresh fruit and vegetables to range

DBC Foodservice has launched a fresh fruit and vegetable range to complement its existing fresh, chilled, ambient and frozen ranges.

The fresh fruit and veg range is available through all 14 DBC branches nationwide and consists of 70 core lines, including an assortment of apple varieties, sweet peppers and summer salad products in addition to exotic vegetables such as mooli and fruits like physallis. Caterers can buy products individually to keep waste to a minimum or in bulk boxes.

By keeping track of consumer buying data and the products featured in TV cookery programmes, DBC works to ensure it is responsive to latest food and vegetable trends.

Chris Horne, managing director of DBC, says: "By offering a comprehensive range to customers we are also able to save on food miles by delivering all categories to a customer in one vehicle."
