Cold turkey for Bernard Matthews managers on Mount Kilimanjaro charity trek

Two managers from turkey supplier Bernard Matthews Foodservice](http://www.bernardmatthews) have conquered Mount Kilimanjaro - Africa's highest mountain - to raise money for local charities.

According to general manager Duncan Marsh and national account manager Chris Walkden, the six-day trek to the top of the 19,341ft snow-capped peak involved "an energy-sapping, lung-busting, motivation-draining five-hour climb up to the crater rim".

Nevertheless, national account manager Chris Walkden said the amazing views and the achievement of raising nearly £4,000 for the Heart of Kent Hospice and the Ty Hafan Family Hospice for Young Lives ‘made it all worthwhile'.
