Chunky vegetable soups from Brakes
Chunky soups full of vegetables are current favourites with customers, according to Brakes. Freshly made and frozen, Brakes' new soups come in four flavours: potato and leek, minestrone, tomato and basil and carrot and coriander.
Available in packs of 5 x 1kg (25 portions), the soups are supplied in frozen-pellet format and are designed to save caterers time in the kitchen.
The range of chilled soups includes chunky vegetable with a blend of potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onions, swede, peas, red lentils, turnip, celery, leeks, pearl barley and herbs.
They are available in 2 x 2.5kg easy-pour plastic containers. The company also offers winter special soups, including winter greens and Stilton, parsnip and butternut and chilli.
Lightly salted croutons made from fresh bread are available in packs of 1 x 4 (250g).
