Chillchaser is a robust line of outdoor patio heaters from garden lighting specialist Noma Lites that will help keep smoking customers warm when they are banished from pubs and restaurants. The all-weather, freestanding electric heaters plug into the mains, produce no harmful fumes, and cost as little as 9p per hour to run.
All come with chrome grilles to protect the element, supplied or optional covers, safety tip-over and thermal cut-off devices and two-year warranties. They use the latest carbon-fibre or quartz heating technology to produce a "far infrared" heat to a distance of four metres.
The slimline Apollo (£65) with remote control also works in closed rooms and conservatories. Artemis (£125) is a chrome-and-steel design with an adjustable wooden bar table on a two-metre pole and two power settings (1,200W and 2,400W). Zeus (£250) is a high-performance carbon-fibre 1,350W/2,700W heater with a 300W halogen integral light and hammered aluminium finish. The chrome-and-steel finished Cronus (£65) is a quartz heater with two settings (750W and 1,500W), an adjustable pole, and a built-in 300W halogen light.
Noma also supplies two light-sensitive, dawn-to-dusk spotlights (Cyclops and the Gemini twin lamp) that are dustproof, splash-proof and incorporate programmable timing economy features.
