Château Lagrézette 2004 from Laithwaites

The Château Lagrézette 2004 (14% abv) is a purple-stained, dark-red Malbec. The mulberry and blackberry scented red has a grainy but soft taste and carries its aromas through to a long finish.

Each year, new artists are chosen to create the wine label and this year the honour goes to Alain Dominique Perrin's daughter Julie, who has exhibited her works for 10 years around France.

Established in the 15th century, the Lagrézette vineyard has been replanted over 60 hectares with Malbec (77%), Merlot (21%) and Tannat (2%) grape varieties. The wines are produced using traditional methods and are best matched with meats and cheese.
