CESA publishes guide to avoiding work falls

Slips and trips account for 10,000 major injuries in the UK workplace each year and cost employees more than £500m per annum.

As they are a major issue for hospitality staff and guests, CESA (the Catering Equipment Suppliers Association) has posted a free http://www.cesa.org.uk/news-slips-and-trips-the-cesa-guide.asp" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Guide to Slips and Tripson its website.

The guide spells out caterers' legal obligations, outlines how to assess risk, and provides inexpensive measures to prevent accidents - such as choosing the correct flooring, preventing and managing spills, and lighting hazardous areas.
