Out just in time for Christmas is the Muscat de Rivesaltes 2005 from Roussillon producer Cazes, an organic, biodynamic wine made from 50% Alexandria Muscat and 50% Petit Grain Muscat.
The BIO Muscat is the result of blending the results of three vinifications, which is then aged on fine lees that are stirred for six months before bottling. The finished wine balances a fresh acidity with spicy fruit aromas of citrus, exotic fruits, peaches and apricots that matches well with Christmas puddings, cheeses, nuts and dried fruits and trifles.
