Cake bars and tartelettes from Brakes
Three cake bars and three tartelettes comprise the newest line of French pâtisserie treats from Brake's La Boulangerie brand. All are handmade by pâtissiers in France using authentic French flavours and are individually presented in clear plastic wraps.
The Tartelettes - au Chocolate, au Citron and au Poire - all have a butter and almond pastry base filled, respectively, with chocolate ganache, a zesty lemon cream or a sweet crème pâtisserie and almond frangipane topped with half a pear.
The bars include the 75g Delice aux Cerise - a soft cherry-topped chocolate sponge smothered in a chocolate-glazed chocolate mousse; the 65g Opera - layers of almond sponge, light espresso cream and a rich chocolate ganache with a chocolate-flavoured glaze; and the 80g Pont Neuf, a crunchy chocolate brownie and hazelnut biscuit base with toppings of chocolate ganache and chocolate mousse coated with velvety dark chocolate.
They are sold in cases of 16 bars for £38.40 and 18 tartelettes for £32.40.
