Brakes reduces environmental impact with packaging change

Brakes is in the process of changing all of their white cardboard packaging to unbleached brown packaging as part of their ongoing commitment to the environment and sustainable growth.

All new packaging will also display a picture of the product to help make it easier and quicker to identify, whether in the customer's storeroom or in the warehouse.

Ken Mullholland, environment and sustainability manager for Brakes, said: "The switch to the new packaging is an obvious choice as we're making the supply chain more sustainable and making it easier for us and our customers to meet CSER objectives, without reducing the quality of our packaging."
