Belu Water will pledge £1m to WaterAid by 2020

Belu water has announced an extension of its partnership with WaterAid, which will see it donate at least £1m to the clean water charity by 2020.

To date, Belu has donated £555,662 to WaterAid since its three-year partnership began in 2011, helping to transform the lives of 37,044 people through improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest countries.

Belu donates 100% of its profits to WaterAid, with a minimum commitment of £100,000 per year.

Karen Lynch, chief executive of Belu, said: ‘We are immensely proud to be able to extend our partnership with WaterAid and donate all of our profits to help some of the world's poorest people. Just £15 can enable one person to access a lasting supply of safe water improved hygiene and sanitation.

Barbara Frost, chief executive of WaterAid, said: ‘WaterAid are thrilled to extend their partnership with Belu into 2020, and continue to work together to transform lives around the world. Every time you choose to drink Belu, you are supporting WaterAid in its vision for a world where everyone, everywhere, has access to clean, safe water and toilets by 2030.'

Belu Water aims to reach this target pledge through a combination of sales and additional fundraising activity with customers such as D&D London LTD, Jamie's Italian, Zizzi and Tragus Group.
