Baron blast chillers from Universal Foodservice

Three new blast chillers from Baron use a sophisticated new control system on top of the basic preset chiller/freezer computer that allows the operator to set his own temperature parameters for cold storage. It also enables the connection of a computer terminal for HACCP recording with a choice of 100 programmable settings.

UK supplier Universal Foodservice Equipment claims the three-, eight- and 12-grid sized 1/1 gastronorm units are more flexible than the standard five- and 10-grid models on the market.

The three newcomers utilise a multi-point probe for perfect chilling or freezing of larger food items, with its own built-in heater to prevent the probe from freezing.

All feature compressors tropicalised up to 43°C and use 60mm CFC- and HCFC-free insulation and ecological refrigerant.
