Apetito shortlisted for Orange Innovation Award

http://www.nationalbusinessawards.co.uk" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Apetito ](http://www.apetito.co.uk)has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Orange Innovation Award for its work supplying frozen meals to the healthcare, care home and community meals markets.

The accolade, part of the [National Business Awards organised by UBM in partnership with Orange, recognises firms that go "beyond the ordinary" in delivering cutting-edge products, services and company culture, with a strong focus on excellence, innovation and ethics.

"Apetito's dedication to its niche of catering for the elderly, sick and infirm is both noble and profitable," said judging panel member Sherry Coutu, of the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts.

This year, Apetito launched a new food system to revolutionise "on-demand" patient feeding in hospitals and continued to develop its line of soft and puréed foods for people with dysphagia.

"Listening to our customers and engaging the whole team in innovation is a key driver of our continued success," said Apetito business development director Ian Stone.

Award winners will be honoured at a gala dinner at London's Grosvenor House hotel on 8 November.
