Allmanhall's virtual polar mission raises £1,000 for Cancer Research UK

The Allmanhall team has raised £1,046.13 for Cancer Research UK through a variety of sporting activities as part of a virtual journey to the North Pole.

The team at Allmanhall a family-run, independently owned food procurement business based just outside Bath, set the task of a virtual mission to walk to the North Pole from their head office in Box, Wiltshire, by Christmas Day.

The 4224.5km goal was met through a combination of walking, running and swimming, completed by 30 of the team, their families and dogs.

"Working around the continued restrictions, this was a fabulous achievement for the whole team and a great way to come together, virtually," said Jo Hall, people and projects director at Allmanhall. "We are so aware of the impact of exercise on wellbeing, so having a reason to get out in the fresh air for a worthwhile cause was a great way to end the year."
