Sodexo's Good Catering Company appoints new managing director

Catering food and drink supplier the Good Eating Company has appointed Alex Kirstall as its new managing director.

Kirstall will assume the role at the Good Eating Company, which was bought by Sodexo in September 2017, from 1 June. She will continue to report into Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK & Ireland.

Carlos Mistry, who co-founded the Good Eating Company in 1999, will move into a global role with a focus on the US.

Kirstall's move will see Sodexo invest further in the Good Eating Company brand to grow it within the UK, Ireland and further afield. Her career in the foodservice industry spans over two decades covering retail, corporate contracts, and events. She joined Sodexo in March 2022 as managing director for Corporate Services.

Kristall said: "This is an exciting time for the Good Eating Company, the team has built an enviable brand and set the definitive standard when it comes to delivering workplace dining to leading organisations.

"As we grow the business, I very much look forward to working with the team to continue to evolve and strengthen its position here in the UK & Ireland. The future of food experiences in the workplace is challenging yet exciting and we are perfectly positioned to disrupt the market and aid organisations in better defining their workplace experience."

Julie Ennis, CEO Corporate Services, Sodexo UK & Ireland said: "Alex has a strong focus on food as demonstrated from her many years in the industry and with the amazing Good Eating Company team we are looking forward to its continued success and evolution."
