Titchwell Manor appoints Oliver Bacon-Hilton as head chef

Titchwell Manor has announced the appointment of Oliver Bacon-Hilton as its new head chef.

The north Norfolk hotel said: "We're thrilled to welcome Oliver Bacon-Hilton, our new head chef who is excited to bring his culinary skills to the manor, marrying a combination of fine dining cuisine with deliciously fresh flavour."

Bacon-Hilton grew up in Norfolk and trained at Norwich City College, before working at one-Michelin-starred Morston Hall, also in north Norfolk, and two-Michelin-starred Moor Hall in Lancashire.

Titchwell Manor, a 28-bedroom former Victorian farmhouse, has been owned by Margaret and Ian Snaith since 1988. Son Eric Snaith oversaw the restaurant, which holds three-AA-rosettes, but took a step back from the stove in 2016 to devote more time to other aspects of hotel management.

At that time Chris Mann was promoted to take the head chef position.
