More than £100,000 raised at Springboard Awards for Excellence 2022

More than £100,000 was raised for charity at the Springboard Awards for Excellence 2022, held in partnership with Smart Group, last night (7 April).

The event took place in the Science Museum's ‘Illuminate' venue and was hosted by television presenter and Paralympian Ade Adepitan, who praised organisations such as Springboard which help disadvantaged people achieve their potential.

The event highlighted the steps hospitality businesses have taken attract talent and develop their workforce, with awards recognising everything from employee health and wellbeing to community engagement.

Attendees raised over £100,000 for the Springboard Charity through donations, sponsorship, and ticket sales.

The awards fell on the same week that Springboard hit the milestone of supporting 5,000 young, unemployed people into work as part of its ‘Springboard to 2022' initiative.

Opening the event, Springboard chief executive Chris Gamm praised Phoebe Lawson, the recent winner of Springboard FutureChef's competition, who took the crown at the national final last month.
