Jamie Halcrow appointed general manager at Simpsons in Birmingham

Jamie Halcrow has been appointed general manager of Simpsons, the Michelin-starred restaurant in Birmingham owned by Andreas Antona.

Halcrow previously worked at Caprice Holdings, where he was senior assistant general manager overseeing Sexy Fish in Mayfair, J Sheekey in Covent Garden and Scott's of Mayfair.

He joined the hospitality industry aged 19, working part-time at Carluccio's. Once the managing director recognised his talent, he was promoted to manage the flagship Carluccio's restaurant in London.

After working in over 20 Carluccio's sites, Halcrow moved to Roka in London's Charlotte Street. He was then offered the position of general manager at Roka Mayfair, the group's best-performing restaurant.

Antona won the award for Restaurateur of the Year at the 2022 Cateys.
