Searcys wins contract with Royal College of Surgeons of England

Searcys has been appointed as the new contract caterer at the Royal College of Surgeons of England at its newly-developed home in Lincoln's Inn Fields in London.

The seven-year contract will commence from May 2021 as RCS moves back into the Lincoln's Inn Fields site, which has been under renovation for the past four years.

Searcys will oversee catering, event sales and marketing operations, as well as look after the event spaces, meeting rooms, café, library and members' lounge. The college's 25,000 members can expect seasonal menus, including British and sustainable products alongside crafted wine and Champagne lists.

The building's new conference and events venue – the View – is expected to open before the summer and offers panoramic views of the London landscape.

Walter Hand, facilities manager at the college, said: "We are delighted to have Searcys on board. From the outset, we were impressed by the quality and finesse of the food offer, as well as Searcys' experience in managing and marketing large venues. We look forward to working with the team and developing our meetings and events at the venue."

Searcys managing director Paul Jackson added: "The past 12 months have been incredibly challenging for the hospitality and events industries and this new win is a testament to the hard work and resilience of the team at Searcys.

"Delivering outstanding hospitality has been at the core of Searcys for over 170 years and we look forward to bringing our expertise, quality, and ethos of providing special moments to the RCS guests. We are happy to be busy again!"
