Zizzi reports 150% increase in vegan dish sales

Italian restaurant chain Zizzi has seen a 150% rise in sales of vegan dishes since the launch of its vegan menu.

According to the Sunderland Echo, Zizzi has already sold 30,000 vegan dishes this year and plans to further increase its offering.

A selection of vegan wines are also available.

The rise in popularity may be down to the start of Veganuary, a campaign that aims to inspire people around the world to go vegan for January.

Zizzi currently operates 140 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
