Troia restaurateur to open Westminster Kitchen this month
The restaurateur behind Mediterranean and Middle Eastern restaurant Troia is opening Westminster Kitchen, a new restaurant and bar, near London's Southbank at the end of July.
Ibrahim Dogus will be opening the 110-cover restaurant on Belvedere Road by Westminster Bridge following an extensive refurbishment and build.
It will serve both classic British fare and more modern dishes, including roasted Cornish salmon fillet on a tartare potato cake, and warm tartlet of asparagus, ceps mushrooms and Dolcelatte cheese. There will also be a large grill selection of English meats and sustainably sourced fish.
Interiors have been designed by Dover Designs; MD Jon Dover described the interior as "an upscale dining room, with grand horseshoe booths, a wide theatre kitchen and long bar".
Dogus said: "I'm incredibly excited to be opening my next London restaurant in such an exciting, central part of the city. Over the past 10 years I've seen the area transform in to a true destination. Yet Westminster Kitchen offers something that the area is lacking, a warm, welcoming venue, with a great vibe, that delivers both the modern and traditional London."
