Tomas Lidakevicius has been appointed executive chef of the Michelin-starred City Social in London, operated by Jason Atherton and Restaurant Associates.

Originally from Lithuania, Lidakevicius moved to London in 2008 and was junior sous chef for the launch of City Social in 2014, before leaving to gain further experience at Northall restaurant at the Corinthia hotel as a senior sous followed by a head chef role at the Peninsula restaurant at the InterContinental Hotel London where, under his leadership, the restaurant achieved three AA rosettes.

Former executive chef Paul Walsh, who launched and led City Social for five years and won the restaurant Michelin-starred status within seven months of opening, is taking on the executive chef role at Atherton's latest venture, the Betterment opening at the Biltmore in Mayfair.
