Tasty boosts turnover by 26% to £14m

Tasty, the operator of the Dim T and Wildwood restaurant brands, has grown revenue by 26% in the 26 weeks to 29 June 2014.

The group's turnover was £13.8m in the period, with pre-tax profit up 24% to £973,000 (2013: £787,000).

Chairman Keith Lassman said that four new sites had been opened in the period, with an additional three opened since the end of June, taking the total number of restaurants operated to 37. This includes six Dim T restaurants, 29 Wildwood and Wildwood Kitchens and two others.

He added: "The Group continues to expand its operations through new openings. Actions are regularly taken to improve profitability at all sites, increasing sales through updated menus and improving food and labour margins.

"The Group continues to look at new sites and has the resources for further acquisitions."
