Steak restaurant chain Scotch Steak Houses has entered administration.

The London-based business called in restructuring firm Wilson Field late last month.

The picture regarding the state of the business is confused.

The administrators were not able to release details about what plans there were for the business, or whether there had been any redundancies.

In a statement, Wilson Field said: "Robert Dymond and Lisa Hogg of Wilson Field were appointed as joint administrators on 22 April 2013. Assets in the company had been sold prior to the appointment of the administrators. These transactions are currently being investigated."

Scotch Steak Houses is thought to run three sites in London, in Queensway, Victoria Street, London St. A fourth site in the Strand has closed. However Wilson Field would not confirm how many sites it was dealing with until it had concluded its investigations regarding the sale of assets prior to the restructuring firm's appointment.
