Square Pie hits Canary Wharf

The Square Pie Company is bringing freshly made pie and mash to Canary Wharf, London's Docklands, as it opens a third outlet this week.

The new shop will be take-away only and will follow the same concept as the original store in Spitalfields market and the second in Selfridges Food Hall.

As well as opening a new outlet, the company has removed all hydrogenated fats from its pies. The Square Pie Company spent more than a year redeveloping its recipes after research by the British Heart Foundation highlighted the dangers of trans-fatty acids, a byproduct of the hydrogenisation process.
