Skye Gyngell to open restaurant in Somerset House
Chef Skye Gyngell is to open a new restaurant at Somerset House in London in late September this year.
The restaurant, called Spring, promises to be guided by the changing seasons, with menus that present the quality produce simply.
Spring will sit in Somerset House's New Wing, the first time that this space will have been open to the public for more than 150 years.
The new project is backed by private investment company the Morningside Group, which also owns Heckfield Place, a new country house hotel in Hampshire where Gyngell will also head the kitchen when it opens this winter.
Gyngell was formerly the head chef at the Petersham Nurseries Café, near Richmond, where she held a Michelin star until she left in 2012.
More details on Spring are due to be announced soon.
