Shine club-restaurant in Norwich is sold

The Orgasmic Café chain has bought the Shine restaurant, bar and nightclub in the Tombland area of Norwich in Norfolk.

The acquisition gives Orgasmic Café (which has branches in Norwich, Lincoln and York) a new brand and its first late-night venue.

Occupying three floors of a Georgian period property, Shine combines a 60-seat ground floor restaurant with a contemporary bar on the first floor and a dance floor with bar and DJ on the second floor.

The property has an overall capacity for 180 people.

The Ipswich office of Christie & Co sold the property off a guide price of £199,000 for the remainder of a 35-year lease which commenced in September 2000.

Previous owner Tony Page intends to concentrate on his other bar, The Wine Press, in Norwich.
