Second VQ 24-hour café to open 18 years after the first
VQ is to open a second 24-hour café and diner, 18 years after the first.
The new site is set to open on Great Russell Street in late October.
It will have a 13.5m glass frontage and has capacity for 120 covers. It will sit in a seld-containted space on the ground floor of the 720-bedroom St Giles hotel.
Managing director, Simon Prideaux, who has been involved with VQ on and off since its launch in 1995 said: "Since becoming a totally independent company in December 2011, VQ has taken a huge leap forward. The rebranding and refurbishment of the Fulham Road site gave us a revitalised, modernised and strengthened concept.
"We can now focus on becoming the market leaders in 24 hour dining, and with record results over the past year the wheels are very much in motion to build VQ into a successful and respected restaurant group. It's extremely exciting to be opening a second site after 18 years, and in a location that we believe to be perfect for taking the VQ concept to the next stage."
