Second French Tarte site to open in spring 2014

Sarah and Eric Guignard, who run the French Table restaurant in Surbiton, Surrey, are to open a new business in Teddington.

The new site, at 45 High Street, Teddington, will be called the French Tarte (Number 2), and will focus on cakes, bakery, and macaroons, as well as chocolate later in the year. Some savoury dishes will also be available.

It comes following the success of the original French Tarte site, which opened adjoining the French Table in Surbiton in January 2011.

Eric Guignard said: "It's a beautiful area that we like, which is very affluent and it is also quite francophone around that side of river."

The second French Tarte site is expected to open in late spring this year.
