Sarah Rhone appointed general manager of Elystan Street

Phil Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas' restaurant Elystan Street in Chelsea, London, has announced the appointment of Sarah Rhone as general manager following the departure of Scott McCaig.

Rhone started her career as a waitress at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club. In 2012 she took on the role of senior head waitress at Hartnett Holder & Co at Lime Wood, Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

In 2014, she joined the Square as head waitress, progressing to restaurant manager over three years. It was here that she met Howard, former chef-patron.

Rhone describes her style of service as warm and informed, yet informal. She said: "I want to ensure our guests leave having had a wonderful time."

Elystan Street opened in September 2016. It is the third restaurant from Howard and Mascarenhas who already co-own two other London venues, the one-Michelin-starred Kitchen W8 in Kensington, and Sonny's Kitchen in Barnes.
