Sam Crompton to open second Fat Bull restaurant

Restaurateur Sam Crompton is to open a second Fat Bull restaurant, after securing the lease of the Red Cat in Wheelton in Chorley.

Crompton already runs the Fat Bull in Ashton-in-Makerfield in Lancashire and plans to rebrand the Red Cat (pictured) site to a Fat Bull, before opening it in mid-October.

Property agent Fleurets brokered the deal for the property, which was sold on an asking price of £55,000 for the leasehold and contents.

Crompton said: "The Fat Bull is an exciting, contemporary, British restaurant concept serving freshly prepared, proper food with an extensive bar and cellar selection to complement.

"We hope that those who love dining out in the area will embrace ‘The Fat Bull's' service-oriented experience and it will become their restaurant destination of choice."
