The name stands for relax, eat and drink, and this chic new brasserie and cocktail bar promises just that. Decor is not for the faint-hearted - think contemporary, shiny surfaces and lots of scarlet. Owner and chef Daniel Clarke will serve meals from 12 noon until late, with afternoon tea available all day.

Food: Lots of all-day dishes. Start the day with a fry-up (£8.95), followed by penne pasta with wild mushrooms, shallot, garlic and RED dressing (£9.95) for lunch. For dinner, try the pork cheeks with mustard mash, leeks and apple sauce (12.95), and if you can squeeze any more in, have a full cream tea (£4.95)
