Prezzo and Richoux Group to open restaurants at Hampshire shopping centre

Prezzo and Richoux Group are set to open three new restaurants at Whiteley shopping centre near Fareham, Hampshire, creating 68 new jobs for the region.

Jonathan Kaye's casual dining group Prezzo is behind two of the new ventures, Mexican themed Chimichanga and Italian Prezzo, while Richoux Group is opening the third.

The split-level Chimichanga outlet cost £500,000 to develop and will seat 70 diners on the ground floor, 40 on the mezzanine level and an additional 40 at the front of the restaurant.

Its menu will feature the chain's signature burritos, tostadas, enchiladas, quesadillas and fajitas, as well as an extensive grill section, featuring barbecue baby back ribs, flame grilled piri piri chicken and sirloin and rib eye steak.

Meanwhile Prezzo, another £500,000 development across two floors, will accommodate 66 guests on the ground floor, 48 on the mezzanine and 38 at the front. The menu will feature pizza, pasta, grills and light options, as well as a children's menu.

Each restaurant will employ 25 staff members.

Richoux Group will open Dean's Diner, a classic American diner specialising in burgers, ribs, rotisserie, chicken, wraps, fries and sides. It will also serve 13 different milkshakes, a selection of American beers and wines, American pancakes, sundaes and desserts.

The restaurant, which also has a children's and breakfast menu, will seat 80 diners, including 10 at the counter, and a further 40 on an outside terrace. It will be operated by a team of 18.
