Pizza pop-up Homeslice to open permanent site

Homeslice Pizza is to open its first standalone restaurant in Covent Garden next month.

Run by chef Ry Jessup and his business partner Mark Wogan the permanent restaurant follows a pop-up at the Filling Station in Kings Cross.

The 50-seat site will open in the historical Neal's Yard in March, offering simple pizzas with a focus on quality ingredients, contemporary flavour combinations.

Five selections will be offered daily with combinations such as artichoke and courgette with fresh lemon and parsley or bone marrow, fire roasted spring onion and watercress. The classic Margarita will be a constant on the menu.

Homeslice will have a £4 policy: a slice, a pint or a "from the magnum" glass of wine will all be priced £4 each. Whole pizzas meanwhile will be available for £20 and both slices and whole pizzas will be available to eat-in or take away.
