Ping Pong set to open in Westfield Stratford in Spring 2014

Dim sum restaurant group Ping Pong is set to open a new site in east London's Westfield Shopping Centre in spring 2014.

The new restaurant, which will be the ninth UK site in the group following the launch of its Wembley venue late last year, will open on 3 March.

The group has invested £500,000 to create a new look, branding design and improved dining experience for the Westfield branch.

Art Sagiryan, chief executive of Ping Pong, said: "As a buzzing fashion and style hub, Westfield Stratford is an ideal place for Ping Pong to open and the new location marks our growth outside of central London as we look to further expand our estate next year. The opening will kick off an exciting year following positive like-for-like sales results to end 2013. We look forward to welcoming shoppers to the new restaurant."

The restaurant will be managed by Romain Schmidt, with executive chef Frans Vinata in charge of the food offer. Average spend will be around £16 and the restaurant is expected to serve around 2,000 covers a week.
