Pat McDonald puts Paris restaurant in Birmingham up for sale

Chef-restaurateur Pat McDonald is selling his award-winning Paris restaurant in Birmingham to focus on his consultancy work and his Epic and Epicurean restaurants.

Paris opened in the Birmingham Mailbox two-and-a-half years ago and was awarded four AA rosettes this January.

But McDonald said that Paris was taking too much of his time to maintain standards and he did not want to be distracted from the roll-out of Epic and his UK and overseas consultancy business.

The sale of Paris to a well-known restaurant chain will complete within the next two to three weeks.
