Outside caterer buys Suffolk's award-winning Eat Anglia

Property of the Week - has changed hands.

The new owner of the business in Earl Soham - voted Café of the Year 2006 by the East Anglian Daily Times - is Maria Santos from the village of Witnesham.

She owns an outside catering firm and is a business associate of the seller, Patrick Bishopp, who now plans to focus on his other, coffee-related businesses.

The trade-marked business is located on the main A1120 tourist route between Stowmarket and Yoxford in a single-storey building with an internal area of 600sq ft.

It combines a delicatessen (specialising in local and home-made food) and a café with an internet-surfing area, an off-licence and a gift and card shop. Eat Anglia also offers home delivery along with gift hampers, pre-ordered picnics and holiday-let food starter packs.

Outside are five tables for customers, some covered by a gazebo, and a forecourt parking area.

The Ipswich office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold, which runs to September 2015, off an asking price of £95,000.
