Openings: Scarpetta
Founders and friends Uberto Jasson D'Oria and Patrick Philion launched this casual-dining restaurant on 7 July in London's Cannon Street, offering fresh pasta from the regions of southern Italy. The pasta is made on-site with all the preparation, starting from the flour and water, taking place in front of customers' eyes. Jasson D'Oria, who grew up on his family's farm and restaurant in Puglia, will run the operations side of the business; Philion, who grew up in Parma, will look after the financial aspects and growth opportunities.
