Ollie Dabbous announces new restaurant Hide will open in April

Ollie Dabbous has announced that his new restaurant, to be opened in partnership with Hedonism Wines, will be called Hide.

The restaurant is set to open in April at 85 Piccadilly in London's Mayfair. It will offer seasonal cooking and a comprehensive wine list, over three floors, connected by a spiral staircase.

‘Ground' on the ground floor will offer an a la carte menu for lunch and dinner, as well as afternoon tea and breakfast. An open bakery will also serve freshly-baked breads, cakes and viennoiseries.

‘Above', on the mezzanine, will offer a tasting menu and set lunch, while the bar ‘Below' will offer a selection of Hedonism's finest and rarest spirits, along with a cocktail menu from Oskar Kinberg, Dabbous' business partner with whom he co-owned the Michelin-starred Dabbous.

Dabbous closed both his casual dining restaurant Barnyard and Dabbous last year to focus on the new site, leaving only Dabbous' restaurant at the Henrietta hotel in London's Covent Garden open.

Dabbous said: "People were surprised that I closed Dabbous, but I hope once we open Hide, they will soon understand why that decision was taken."

Hide's interiors will be a collaboration between Hedonism's Yevgeny Chichvarkin and Tatiana Fokina with These White Walls studio and Lustedgreen architects, and will take inspiration from Green Park opposite.

Fokina said: "Creating a restaurant felt like a natural progression given our love of food and wine."

The site will also have individually-styled private dining rooms for between four and 20 covers, serving either restaurant dishes or ‘feasting menus'.
